Absent from the body.....

....present with the Lord. My Dad passed away this afternoon. He had a long battle with cancer.
Recently I was able to spend 8 days with him, I wanted to be with him when he died but it wasn't to be. I was able to tell him that I was glad he was my Dad and that I loved him very much. It was so incredibly difficult to watch him wither away, day by day. The emotional tidal wave I feel is so overwhelming. I would appreciate your prayers. xo

Oh Chris,
I have been praying for you and Clarence.... I had wondered how he was doing as you hadn't posted in a while. Take time for yourself and know many people are thinking of you.

Chris,
You have my prayers as always. I had been wondering too. It's good you were able to spend that time with your Dad. As Ruth said, you need time for yourself-we are thinking of you.

i too add my prayers, and hope you feel the comfort of all our hearts wrap around you... it has been so gracious of you to share these last days you spent with your dad with your blogging friends, all the meaningful and loving times you shared with us we got to know him too... even in your own grief you have given to others... and we are all the better for it...

i'm sending prayers (and hugs too)

Dear Chris, This comes with a big hug for you. We are praying for you and your Dad. With his passing you now have an angel watching over you. I look at your desk and know the smiling girl her Dad is proud of. Take you time and take good care. He would want you to do that. When you are ready to come back to the real world, do so, but not before. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs, and love, Peg
