Pear 4

Acrylic on canvas board 5x7
It's hard to tell from the picture
I started painting using the grisaille technique.
The underpainting is shades of gray,
then glazed with color.
The pear was glazed with green gold,
the upper background with cobalt,
the table with quin. crimson.

I've spent the weekend busily working away in the studio.
Some of my ideas are not working well,
but it's okay---I'm learning a lot.

I'll post a flop soon.....stay tuned ;)

Hi Chris,
your pears are looking good! Thanks for the info on the paintsticks, too I've been wondering about them-maybe sometime I'll try them.
