I spent time off and on painting over the weekend. I still can't decided if she needs a face or not.I think I pulled off the scary basement look, a tunnel appeared. She's got to have a way out of denial. I guess I will put this up where I can spend a little more time looking at it and see if anything else nudges me.

as i gaze at your painting for awhile i begin to fill in the blank part with different faces...
i wonder when you look at her what you see in her face now after having worked on her some more over the weekend...
the candle seems to be bringing something inside of her out of the shadows...
i am also really paying attention to her and how shapely and strong it seems...
and the tunnel...where might that tunnel lead her?
this painting brings to my mind the many different faces we all wear depending on the situation...a face for work, a face for home, a face for formality, a face for intimacy, a face for others, a face for ourselves...it can at times make one wonder where "she" really is inside of it all...
